Sony ID 7000 Analyzer

Sony ID 7000 spectral analyzer is equipped with 5 lasers (355 nm, 405 nm, 488 nm, 561 nm, 637 nm) and 147 channel photo detectors. The software supports a spectral reference library that users put in with their single-stain reference information, so multicolor analysis of 45 or even more colors can be put in as the spectral reference library, by eliminating complicated single stain acquisition and fluorescence compensation, this will potentially improve the workflow for multicolor experiments.

Some of the main features:

  • Spectral library allow users to recall registered spectral reference instead of making compensation for each experiment.
  • High speed acquisition with sample flow rate range between 33 – 200 ul/ min.
  • Low carryover with the smart design of a cleaning block mechanism.
  • Autosampler with cooling that support 24 tubes of 5 ml, 96 well plates with different bottoms and volumes, 384 well plates.
  • Sample probe agitation.
  • Auto shutdown by using the extra loading station with up to 3 of 5 ml tubes filled with 1 % bleach, MQ water, and one must program the shutdown after the experiment is completed by loading the cleaning solutions in the extra station.
  • Autofluorescence detection and separation
  • Air bubble detection during sample acquisition.
  • Software preference setting for each user can be made.
  • Standardization mode allows the output of each channel is standardized, so that the SSC and FL detection sensitivities are the same between multiple instruments. By running daily QC, the data and the instrument status is standardized and updated.
  • Fluororescence compensation (unmixing) algorithms are based on weighted least square method (WLSM).
  • Virtual filter provide simple adjustment of channels, and user flexibility for adding fluorochromes when needed. The fluorochrome can be monitored visually in a color palette. The information doesn’t affect unmixing results.
  • Often used fluorochromes are preset in the software, new fluorochromes can be put in as user specific one.
  • Spectral overlay can be set on a single plot and exported as CSV file for further analysis on Excel or other software.
