The project:
This project investigates the association between systemic and local use of tranexamic acid and the risk of revision surgery due to prosthetic joint infection. Using data from the Norwegian Arthroplasty Register (NRL) and the Norwegian Hip Fracture Register (NHBR), the study explores the hypothesis that tranexamic acid may have an in vivo antibacterial effect.
