Cand.scient.Marit Krohn from Erik Boye's group at the Department of Cell Biology at the Institute for Cancer Research defended her PhD thesis - entitled "Characterisation of the G1/S checkpoint in fission yeast" on Friday October 16th.
She gave her trial lecture on the subject "Targeting cell cycle kinases for cancer therapy" the day before.
Both events took place in the Auditorium in the Research Building K at the Norwegian Radium Hospital.
