Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research at Department of Neurology at Oslo University Hospital (OUH) aims to identify characteristics and susceptibility factors of MS, to contribute to a better understanding of the disease and development of better treatments. The MS research unit is a member of the Neuroscience Research Unit (NRU). Our MS research is organized in four research groups:
- Molecular and immunological studies of MS - headed by Tone Berge and Hanne Flinstad Harbo
- Imaging studies of MS - headed by Einar A. Høgestøl and Hanne Flinstad Harbo
- Therapeutic trials and vaccine studies in MS - headed by Gro Owren Nygaard
- Clinical and epidemiological studies of MS - headed by Elisabeth Gulowsen Celius
