Collaborations

The Epilepsy Research Group of Oslo (ERGO) maintains extensive national and international collaborations spanning clinical epileptology, basic neuroscience, and translational research.
Locally, we collaborate closely with GliaLab and the Letten Centre at the Institute for Basic Molecular Sciences, University of Oslo, which provide expertise in astrocyte biology and advanced in vivo imaging.

Through the Status Epilepticus Forum we have International collaborators include research groups at Odense University Hospital (Denmark), Frankfurt and Marburg (Germany), the University of Gothenburg (Sweden), the University of Helsinki (Finland), the University of Bonn (Germany).

We are also part of the ILAE Consortium on Complex Epilepsies, and PI of the Sense II /AROUSE study, a large European registry study collecting real-world data on status epilepticus to improve treatment strategies and patient outcomes. Through these collaborations and participation in international networks and multicenter studies, including status epilepticus registries and collaborative projects, we aim to advance understanding and treatment of epilepsy and status epilepticus.

The Traumatic Brain Injury and posttraumatic epilepsy project is a collaboration between ERGO and Mid-Atlantic Epilepsy and Sleep Center, Bethesda, USA (Prof. Pavel Klein) and Marionegri Institute, Milan, Italy (Prof. Annamaria Vezzani).

The epilepsy and cardiology project is done in collaboration with Stavanger University Hospital (Senior Consultant, PhD Dag Aurlien).
