In 1995 the first symposium was organized in Lillehammer, Norway in collaboration with late Ruth Sager, of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Ruth Sager died in 1997, and in 2000 a second Symposium was held in her honor, again in Lillehammer with more than 300 participants. Both meetings were very successful. The third symposium of this series is held in Molde, the home town of Anne-Lise Børresen-Dale, who is chairman of the scientific board an organizing committee.
