Poster awards for PhD students from the Institute for Cancer Research

PhD students from the Institute for Cancer Research have a tradition for winning prizes at poster competitions. At the recent annual meeting of the Norwegian Biochemical Society at Lillehammer, more than 90 posters competed for the poster prizes awarded by Alpharma. Both first and second prize were won by PhD students from the Institute: Helena Hauge received first prize, while Lina Rodahl received second prize.

"Characterization of a novel gene family, FAM110, associated with the cell cycle".

Lina W. Rodahl from Harald Stenmark's group at the Department of Biochemistry received second prize for her poster

"Roles of Vps4 in intracellular trafficking and cell signalling"

The happy poster winners received cheques of 5000 and 3000 kr, respectively, and were observed celebrating till the late hours.

The NBS contact meeting 2007 was held at Lillehammer in the period of February 1-4.
