Eirunn Røtnes

Eirunn Røtnes earned her medical degree from the University of Bergen (UiB), Norway, in 2021. She completed her internship at Ålesund Hospital in 2024. She worked primarily in the Department of Medicine at Ålesund Hospital, followed by one year in the Department of Medicine at Lovisenberg Diaconal Hospital.
In October 2025, she started as a PhD fellow at the Department of Cardiology, Oslo University Hospital, joining the ProCardio research group. Her main supervisor is Nina Hasselberg, with co-supervisors Mette-Elise Estensen and Kristina Hermann.
Dr. Røtnes has a particular interest in women and heart disease. Her research primarily focuses on spontaneous coronary artery dissection in Norway (NOR-SCAD), and she is collaborating in the research group as a project team member.
