Welcome to Gregor Gilfillan’s project group: Genomic Technology Group

The group runs AMG's high-throughput sequencing core facility, which sequences samples from all over Norway (over 15,000 samples in 2023), and specializes in handling low-input samples. In addition, the group are early adopters of new genomic technologies such as optical genome mapping and long-read sequencing. Research projects in the group apply these new technologies to tricky and unsolved genetic diagnoses. The group therefore works tightly with clinical geneticists to solve cases where regular diagnostic procedures have been unsuccessful.
