A delegation of nine clinicians and researchers from Oslo University Hospital attended the 15th International Congress on Peritoneal Surface Malignancies in Barcelona, held 29 to 31 October, 2025. The conference featured a wide range of engaging presentations, sharing diverse clinical experiences and the latest scientific advances. It also offered plenty opportunities to connect with both long-standing and new international colleagues and collaborators.

Dr Karianne Giller Fleten presented a poster on novel nanoparticles encapsulating Radium-223 for the treatment of peritoneal metastases.
Dr Annette Torgunrud presented The PERIMMUNE project which is an international collaboration funded by EU TRANSCAN-3, exploring a new strategy to treat peritoneal metastases from colorectal cancer.
Professor Kjersti Flatmark moderated the section; Pitch your trial idea: Mini-competition, where 5 young surgeons was selected to present their pitch. Among these was Malin Simlund, MD from Department of Surgical Oncology with the title” CAR T treatment targeting a glycosylated cancer specific epitope for mucinous peritoneal surfacemalignancies – a phase I trial”. She was awarded second place in the competition. Congratulations Malin!
