DNA ploidy - introduction

DNA ploidy is a cytogenetic term giving the number of chromosome sets (n) or aberrance from the normal number of chromosomes in a cell or species. In cytometry, the term is used to state either the DNA content of a cell (c) or the total DNA distribution in a cell population.
