Aims:

• Increase our biological understanding of circulating tumour cells
• Provide clinical information about occurrence and characterization of cells for clinical treatment
• Improve diagnostics, develop and implement new technologies, characterization and quantification
• Participate in international standardisation program
• Compare various diagnostic methods
• Search for genes of importance in the metastatic process
