Sverre Kjeldsen is currently Emeritus Professor at University of Oslo and has recently retired from 45 years of clinical work with internal medicine, mostly cardiology, nephrology and hypertension at Ullevål University Hospital (Oslo) and University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). He has worked with 50 MDs who have done their PhD work in the cardiovascular field including several on the cohort.
