Cancer Prevention - on thin ice...
Last Friday night our department went for a somewhat unusual social event, we played the lovely game of curling in an indoor curling hall.
And the winner takes it all
Almost everyone at the department participated. At first we were given a 30 minute walk-through of the game, including rules, strategies and injury prevention. After that we got two full hours of ice-time where we divided into six teams and played a mini-tournament.
Eventually the winners were Trude, Franclim, Anita and Edgar, who posed willingly for the photographer in the final picture in the slideshow. Apart from one bruised finger and a sore hip, we left the ice hall without fractions or concussions. We all agreed it was a night to remember.
