Center for Cancer Biomedicine funded

as a new Center of Excellence announced by the Research Council of Norway at the end of December 2006. Each of totally eight new centers will receive about 100 million NOK each over a ten years period to conduct excellent research. The Center for Cancer Biomedicine is located at the Institute for Cancer Research, Rikshospitalet-Radiumhospitalet Medical Center. The director and vice-director of the Center is Harald Stenmark and Ragnhild Lothe, respectively.
The CoE is a constellation of seven research groups, which are headed by:
