It has a high impact factor, and only the most outstanding research is accepted.
The group's discoveries has stirred considerable attention. The results have been commented in a dedicated commentary article in the August issue of Developmenal Cell.
This paper from Rusten et. al. - entitled "Programmed Autophagy in the Drosophila Fat Body Is Induced by Ecdysone through Regulation of the PI3K Pathways" is the first work from any Norwegian group to be printed in "Developmental Cell".
