Project:
The DELPHI trail:
Clinical investigation for displaced proximal humeral fractures in the elderly: a randomized study of two surgical treatments: reverse total prosthetic replacement versus angular stable plate Philos (The DELPHI trial)

The DELPHI trial is a semi-blinded, multicenter RCT, involving 7 hospitals. The aim is to establish best treatment for proximal humeral fractures in the elderly. We plan to publish two and five year clinical results, with the main outcome being the Constant score. We will include a self reported quality og life score(15D), radiographic score and an economic evaluation.

RSA phantom study:
- Precision and accuracy of the reversed total shoulder arthroplasty
We have implanted a Delta Xtend reversed shoulder prosthesis in to sawbone scapula and humerus. We aim to:
1. Test for best marker placement
2. Establish EGS or KAD based feasibility
3. Test for precision and accuracy in radiostereometric measurements of the metaglen in the Delta Xtend prosthesis

RSA clinical trail:
The phantom study will be the basis for a clinical RSA trial, where we aim to establish in vivo 3D migration (stability) of the metaglen in reversed shoulder arthroplasty up to 2 years.
