Recording of bladder electrical activity during cystometry
Movement artefacts and signals from adjacent tissues have created doubts on the origin of electrical activity recorded from the human urinary bladder with detrusor wall electrodes or with abdominal surface electrodes.
In our study, approved by the regional Ethics Committee, we aim to record electrical activity from the bladder lumen with a wire-electrode inside the urodynamic catheter during cystometry in humans.
