Section for Transplant surgery

Head of section: Per Pfeffer
The department is involved in multiple studies, single center and multi center studies, such as the CENTRAL-study, the AEB-study and OSAKA-study. The trainees participate both as study investigators and as co-investigators.
The department has a teaching function for medical students, as well as visiting undergraduates from other universities.
Collaboration with Institute for Surgical Research:
Our section collaborates closely with The Institute for Surgical Research, which is both a university institute at the University in Oslo as well as a department at Rikshospitalet.
