We have available a position funded by the European Science Foundation (ESF) through the EuroMEMBRANE Programme and the joint project "Tracking of phosphoinositide pools (TraPPs)".  In this project, phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate (PI3P) and its interacting proteins will be tracked within fixed and live cells using specific probes and confocal microscopy. The project will be implemented in close cooperation with the other members of the TraPPs project.

 

 

Requested qualifications

 

* PhD degree in cell biology

 

* Practical experience in confocal microscopy, preferably using live cells

 

* Interest for microscopy and image processing

 

 

Conditions

 

* The position is available from 3 years starting from ultimo 2009.

 

* Salary starting at about 47,000 EUR per year.
