Background
He took his MSc under Per Seglen at what is now Dept. of Cell Biology in 1982, then went to St Mary's Hospital in London and got experience with recombinant DNA technology under the leadership of Bob Williamson. Returning to Oslo, he worked at the Institute for Internal Medicine at the National Hospital under Hans Prydz until 1987, when he had a research stay in the group of Keith Stanley at EMBL. From 1988 he has again been employed at the Institute of Cancer Research, now at the Dept. of Tumour Biology.
