Radek Frič graduated from the 1st Medical Faculty, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, in 1997. After he completed his neurosurgical training at Dept. of Neurosurgery in Liberec, Czech Republic, he moved to Norway and joined the staff of Dept. of Neurosurgery at Rikshospitalet, Oslo University Hospital, where he has been working as consultant neurosurgeon since 2005. Since 2011, he has been affiliated with Section of paediatric neurosurgery as senior consultant neurosurgeon. His main surgical interests include vascular neurosurgery, paediatric neurosurgery, particularly paediatric brain and skull base tumours, as well as conditions related to hydrocephalus and impaired CSF flow dynamics. His main research focus is currently on pathophysiology of Chiari malformation, with particular respect to the role of pulsatile intracranial pressure, which is also the topic of the PhD thesis he currently is working on.
