Clinical studies
The Lymphoma Section at The Department of Mediacal Oncology has the responsibility for lymphoma diagnosis and treatment for half of the Norwegian population (2.5 mill inhabitants). We are presently running a number of clinical studies as outlined below. This application will focus on the following four clinical studies with aspects of translational research for achieving new insight into the malignant lymphomas.
- High dose chemotherapy with autologous stem cell support for patients with histologically transformed B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas.
- CHOEP-14 + rituximab with CNS prophylaxis in patients less than 65 years with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma/Follicular Lymphoma grade III, stage II-IV with risk factors (age adjusted IPI) ³ 2. A phase II study (NLG-LBC-04).
- Radioimmunotherapy as part of the conditioning regimen before autologous stem cell transplantation in first-line treatment of mantle cell lymphoma.
- Randomised study with Rapamycin-generated donor Th2 cells and in vivo Rapamycin to prevent graft-versus-host disease following allogeneic stem cell transplantation with reduced conditioning in malignant lymphoma
