In order to stimulate excellent research Helse Sør RHF rewards six outstanding publications from hospitals belonging to this health region every half-year. The research groups are given NOK 25.000,- each.
An excellent paper with Sophie D. Fosså as first author was chosen by Helse Sør RHF as one of the winners in the category clinical research for the second part of 2005.
The article, entitled "Risk of contralateral testicular cancer: a population-based study of 29,515 U.S. men", was published in the July issue of top rated "Journal of the National Cancer Institute" (impact factor 13,9).
