Mini CV

Biography
Jostein Dahle was born and spent his youth on Karmøy, an island on the south-western part of Norway. He is married, have three children and lives in Bærum, a suburb to Oslo.
He was awarded a master of science degree in Biophysics by the Norwgian Universty of Science and Technology in Trondheim in 1995, and a PhD by the University of Oslo in 2000. His doctoral work was performed at the Norwegian Radium Hospital, supervised by Johan Moan and Harald B. Steen and concerned the bystander effect in photodynamic treatment of cells. This was followed by a postdoctoral work at Egil Kvams lab at the Norwegian Radium Hospital. Here he worked on mechanisms for UV-radiation induced genomic instability. The PhD and Postdoc periods were fully financed by the Norwegian Research Council (NRC). In 2005 he got a scientist position at the Norwegian Radium Hospital financed by the MEDKAP program in the NRC. This was followed by a scientist position sponsored by the Norwegian Cancer Society from 2007 to 2009 and a new scientist positon sponsored by the Health Authorities of South Eastern Norway from 2010-2012. In 2009 he co-founded Nordic Nanovector AS in order to develop the research on radioimmunotherapy in to the clinic.

Commercial for the Norwegain Cancer Society with Jostein Dahle.

Research
Development of Radioimmunotherapy of cancer with alpha-emitting radioimmunconjugates based on the 227Th-DOTA ligand. The research is performed in collaboration with Algeta ASA.
Radioimmunotherapy of lymphoma with beta-emitting Lutetium-177 coupled to an antibody against lymphoma cells.
Previously, research concerned two photobiolgy projects: The bystander effect in photodynamic treatment of cells was studied during the PhD period. Molecular mechanisms for radiation-induced mutagenesis and genomic instability was studied during the postdoc period.
An automatic colony counter has been made to facilitate studies of mutagenesis, genomic instability and cell death.
