Aim:
Prospective investigation of cause and significance of elevated troponin after PCI for ACS, and after elective PCI.
Comparison of various analysis methods of troponin with regard to prognostic significance.

Troponin I or troponin T in myocardial injury

Aim:
Determine differences in sensitivity and specificity between several troponin assays in patients with acute coronary syndrome and stable angina
Long term prognostic importance of elevated troponins at admission and after PCI, in different troponin assays, by end point evaluation after one year follow up (total mortality, cardiovascular mortality and recurrent revascularization)
