Open to all researchers, clinicians, industry representatives, patient groups and others with an interest in stem cell biology, research and applications.
The program for this year´s conference will feature scientific sessions covering a range of exciting topics including
° In vitro neurological disease models
° Early zygotic development and stem cell pluripotency
° 3D cell culture models
° Preclinical and clinical stem cell research
As usual, the program will feature primarily short presentations from PhD students and postdocs, and the best PhD student presentation will again be awarded with a cash prize (and a handsome certificate and trophy).
The conference concludes with a gala dinner on the evening of October 31 (Halloween costumes not required).
In addition, we are pleased to have 2 international keynote speakers on the program:
Associate Professor of Genetics, Yale Stem Cell Center, Child Study Center, Yale University
Park will be speaking about his research into the mechanisms of iPS cell reprogramming and their use in modeling brain disease. (For more information about In Hyun Park´s research see http://stemcell.yale.edu/people/inhyun_park-2.profile )
Parkinson’s UK Senior Research Fellow, Centre for Regenerative Medicine, University of Edinburgh
Kunath will be speaking about his use of iPS cells to create in vitro models of Parkinson´s disease. (For more information about Tino Kunath´s research see http://www.crm.ed.ac.uk/research/group/mechanisms-neurodegeneration)
Registration is required and the registration deadline is August 30 – so don´t delay!
